Reporting to the Senior Winemakers, this is a key position requiring a highly-motivated person with a demonstrated history of managing all cellar operations. This person will be expected to manage a cohesive team that confidently produces quality wine using processes prescribed by multiple winemakers, ensuring the correct techniques are applied and the right materials are being used. A close working relationship with all cellar hands, winemakers, and other key staff will be essential to achieve this vital link and key reporting line between all other members of the winery teams.

This is a permanent full-time position, which throughout most of the year, will require 40 hours per week. During harvest, increased hours to 12-hour shifts up to 7 days per week will be required.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have proven ability to manage an effective and cohesive team including motivation, conflict resolution, task coordination and morale building
  • Be prepared to work as a part of the cellar team, leading by example, not delegation
  • Have relevant qualifications and/or a minimum of 5 years’ winery experience.

Preference will be given to applicants with previous cellar management skills. A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the right applicant.
